Wiz stops by Honey Magazine to talk about his new album, and if he feels any pressure about being “Next Up”

I’m sure everyone has heard/seen now, but it figures that the site should at least come back on a (kind of) high note.
In an interview with XXLMag.com, Spitta addresses his newly-formed relationship with Dame Dash, making music (and rollin’ doobies) with Wiz Khalifa, and how he doesn’t feel that Weezy was taking shots at him on a skit from his Dedication 3 shit sandwich mixtape:
XXLMag.com: Many speculated that Lil Wayne was throwing shots at you on the “Do’s and Don’t’s of Young Money” skit off Dedication 3. Why’d you choose not to respond?
Curren$y: There were some questionable statements on there. But for one, I didn’t hear my name. People in New Orleans were like; “I think dude was talking about you on Dedication 3.” I heard the shit and even as I’m hearing it I was like, Nah. The stats didn’t match me and then I’m like, That shit didn’t have nothing to do with me, so I didn’t give a fuck. And then I didn’t hear my name; I feel like if they had problems with me, they would say me.

Since everybody is on Jay Elec right now, I thought I’d post this interview conducted by Sweeney Kovar from 2007 (the year when I first was put on to Jay’s music).

Are you a little confused about that video you watched this morning? Didn’t get much out of it, besides the beautiful slow motion shots of Team Drake? Drake sat with Complex to give a little insight to the long-awaited video.
Complex: Everyone’s been waiting on this video. Can you take us through the making of it?
Drake: Yeah. The video is directed by Kanye West. Basically we decided, as opposed to taking ourselves super serious, we just wanted to have some fun with it. Myself, being a young man, a young single man at that, I kind of wanted to be real about the way I function with women at this current point in my life. Which is, I don’t have one woman that I call my girl. There’s different girls in my life that play different roles and I see at different times, but collectively they kind of make up the roster of happiness for me [Laughs].
Complex: Understandable. So what’s the concept?
Drake: The concept of the video is, I’m a coach at a high school and the girls of my life are all on my high school basketball team. Throughout the video you see us prepping for this big championship game, and my team ends up losing. You see the looks on their faces at the end of the video, but the moral of the story, I guess, is win or lose, you can still be the best to somebody. When women see the video and see all the breast and ass, hopefully they don’t take offense. Hopefully they see the real meaning.

Okay. But everything’s straight with you and Polow? Everything’s straight with you and Zone 4?
Oh yeah, man. You know, like every family have conflicts of interests, but it’s up to a true family to continue to keep working, you know? So I feel like…you know, we just gonna make it happen, man, no matter what, because it ain’t that type of situation to me.
Translation: The label’s not putting out my album.
Keep doing mixtapes like Bigger Than The Mayor, and you won’t need ‘em.

First day up, and we’re making moves already. 804 hometown hero Nickelus F stopped by The Interactive Launch Pad (Sundays @ midnight on iPOWER 92-1) to discuss the new mixtape R.A.R.E. (available this Friday via onSMASH), how he linked up with Drake, the power of the ‘net & much more. Also burned it down over “November 18th” as well.
